The Waste Free Parks Initiative (WFPI)

The Waste Free Parks Initiative (WFPI) is an initiative aimed at ensuring proper disposal of litter in national parks, which is done by sensitizing tourists visiting parks and issuing biodegradable litter bags to aid the course.

Peaks and Safaris collaborated with 3Es Experience, the pioneer and founder of the initiative to issue the bags and create awareness at Nairobi National Park. The exercise, which took two consecutive days, was successful with over 500 litter bags issued and over 2000 tourists sensitized on the importance of being mindful when they visit the park.

This Initiative has played a fundamental role in ensuring animal habitats are preserved, kept clean and protected from plastics…

The Maanzoni Million Tree Challenge.

As we continue to encourage and foster sustainability, we joined The Maanzoni Million Tree Challenge. This awesome initiative focuses on planting trees for reforestation and diversifying vegetation in Maanzoni. It’s a fantastic way to make a positive impact on the environment! Plus, sustainable tourism is such an important part of our work. We’re not just planting trees; we’re also creating safe and preserved habitats for wildlife to thrive alongside sustainable tourism. It’s all about making a difference in the world!

Our first visit was truly special. We discussed the future of sustainability and our role in protecting and preserving wildlife habitats. Then, we got hands-on, prepping and mixing soils, watering, and planting the seedlings….
