Your safari adventure begins with a morning pickup between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). After a warm welcome and short briefing, you’ll depart for the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve.

The journey takes you through Kenya’s dramatic Great Rift Valley, where you’ll enjoy sweeping views of Mount Longonot, Mount Suswa, and the serene shores of Lake Elementaita. Along the way, soak in the changing landscapes, from highland farms to open savannah, as you get your first taste of the wild.

You’ll arrive at your camp in time for a freshly prepared lunch and a well-deserved rest.

In the late afternoon, you’ll head out on your first game drive, a thrilling introduction to the Masai Mara’s incredible wildlife and vast, golden plains.

Overnight: Tipilikwani Mara Camp or similar

Day 2 and 3: Explore the Wonders of the Masai Mara

Keep your eyes peeled for the Mara’s famed residents—lions, cheetahs, leopards, and their prey, including zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and buffaloes. You may also encounter hippos wallowing in the rivers and the crocodiles that lurk along the banks.

The day is yours to plan, in coordination with your expert guide. Choose from a variety of safari styles:

  • Early morning and late afternoon game drives, ideal for relaxed exploration
  • Or a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the bush for deeper immersion into the reserve

For those seeking something extra, optional experiences include:

  • A hot air balloon safari (at sunrise) offering breathtaking aerial views of the Mara plains
  • A cultural visit to a local Maasai village, where you can tour traditional manyattas and learn about time-honored customs, dress, and daily life

Return to your camp in the evening for a hearty dinner and time to unwind under the stars.
