1Mt Kilimanjaro- Marangu Route

Mount Kilimanjaro- Marangu Route

Hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro targets the point Kibo at 5.895 meters above sea level.

Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, reaching a height of 5,895 meters or 19,341 feet above sea level. On clear days her snow-capped peaks can be seen from different vantage points from Arusha and Moshi.

For those wishing to tackle Mt Kilimanjaro’s dizzying heights, there are several options open with each route having a different character; suitable in accordance to age, fitness level, prior experience as to climbing & trekking in general and at altitude, and at the end of the day, just what you would like to experience out of your climb of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Also known as the Coca-Cola route this path to the peak is characterized by mountain hut-based accommodation and is generally seen as the easier way as the distance is shorter. It has a lot of traffic due to the accommodation type and lack of wilderness and the ascent and descent are on the same route. It ranks second after the Machame route.
