Get a better understanding of the natural medicines still used on a daily basis with a Maasai medicine walk of the surrounding area. Then continue down to a Boma (mud dwelling) for an introduction into the Maasai way of life, beliefs, and rituals. Return to the camp for hot lunch and afternoon relaxation. Day 3

Early departure to Ngorongoro and descend into the crater for game drives. There are 25,000 large mammals residing in the park. The elephants are mainly bulls, females stay out of the park due to it boasting the largest predator population in Africa. Black Rhino also make their home on the grassy plains, their numbers make up for almost half of what can still be found in East Africa; about 20 in total. Leave the crater late afternoon and head to Acacia Farm Lodge located in the Karatu Highlands.

Day 4

After a leisurely breakfast transfer to Lake Eyasi, the home of the bushman tribes of northern Tanzania. The region of Lake Eyasi, South-west of Ngorongoro, is home to the Hadza, the last survivors of a civilization that knows nothing of agriculture, livestock, pottery, and metals. They live by hunting with bows and arrows and gathering wild berries and fruits. Check into your lodge and enjoy a hot lunch followed by afternoon relaxation.
